Why love|blackbird?

Why love|blackbird?

The healing power of music.

When you’re screaming out for the truth not to be true. When you’re facing the battle of your life. When you’re trying desperately to connect to the strength inside… because you know it’s the one thing that will save you. Music can take you there. Music can motivate, calm, induce a smile or drown out the noise. Taylor connected to “Blackbird” by The Beatles as *her* song during treatment and recovery — journaling to process it all, envisioning herself transforming into a whole new being — always signing off with “love, blackbird.” When the time came to start sharing our stories and what we’ve learned, there was only one choice for the name.

Thats why love|blackbird.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free

Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of a dark black night

Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of a dark black night

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Sometimes we catch a glimpse of true beauty, and it may come in the form of being stripped down to the very core. We, as survivors, got a special peek behind a curtain, and it rocked our world… changing everything we do, everything we say, and the direction we move. When we pull back the veil, we realize we have more strength than we ever could have imagined. You’ve got this, and we’re here to help.

Love,

blackbird
